REVIEW AND SWATCH: THE SUNNIES FACE LIFEBROW
“Kilay is Life”—a famous phrase which points out to most of
us who aspires to achieve those on fleek eyebrows that we see in social media
nowadays. There have been a variety of brands and formuals dedicated for eyebrows, from powder to gel to cream. Our brows define our look, so we all
go gaga and spend our money on numerous stuff just to attain those
perfectly shaped arches.
Sunnies Face need no introduction. Just a few weeks ago,
they launched their newest creation which hyped again the beauty and make up
lovers around. The Lifebrow—an eyebrow skinny pencil which is 295php and
grooming gel which retails at 345php. Lifebrow claims to define, shape, and
create brows that complete you. It comes in two shades: Warm Brown and Ash
brown.
I personally love Sunnies Face, although they’re a bit pricey
compared to other local brands. Their formula on their makeup products are
great so far, and I couldn’t complain. When I heard about Lifebrow, I thought
I’d give it a try and bought the grooming gel in the shade Ash Brown. I have naturally
thick brows and I want to tame a few stray hairs and somehow achieve a Cara Delevingne
fluff and shape.
And without any more fuss, I give you my review and swatch
on Sunnies Face Lifebrow grooming gel in Ash Brown…
The Lifebrow, like any other Sunnies Face product, have the
same packaging and aesthetic. The sleek minimalist style ever-present from
colour to container.
The wand is a tiny tree shaped brush which is great for
coating the brows evenly. And since it's small, it picks up just a right amount
of product. I think, one to two dip per brow will do depending on how thick you
want your brows to look like.
Formula + Swatch
So the Lifebrow grooming gel claims to be waterproof and
smudge proof, and I have to say, it really is. It’s lightweight, doesn’t feel
clumpy and It’s easy to use.
Final thoughts
I admit that I complained the first time I used the product
cause the wand is a bit smaller than I expected it to be, which for me
(honestly) looked kind of flimsy and I fear that when I used it with a bit of pressure
it might bend or worse break. Nevertheless, as I started using the product some time
later, Lifebrow actually gave an au natural effect to my eyebrows. The color
is just right and buildable. It matches my skin and hair. It isn’t too loud or bold unlike
any grooming gel that makes your brows look unusually and unnaturally thick. Plus, it keeps my brows in place and filled in some scants. In
short, it enhanced the look of my brows! It’s like my brows but improved,
bushier, and fluffier. And for that, I give the Sunnies Face Lifebrow 4/5
stars.
‘til next time :)
