HOW TO BRING OUT OPTIMISM ON A PESSIMISTIC DAY
We all had bad days at some point in our lives. We all get caught up on our everyday problems, one or two happens in a day. Your phone won't work, you got stuck in traffic, or a bad day at the office.If you never had any bad days, any at all, well you must be dead. You see, this negativity we call "bad days" are actually normal and is always been a part of our lives. It adds spice. It actually depends on how we see it and handle it.
One big life lesson that I've learned was to face life's challenges with utmost positivity. I face and receive negativity almost everyday and believe me it is draining. It makes us feel insecure and anxious. And sometimes these bad days weigh us down to the point where we start thinking about giving up. But here's the thing, no matter how difficult life may be, we will still get through it. Generating positivity is the key. This helped me a lot and I hope it can help you too, so I've listed down three ways on how to bring out optimism on a pessimistic day.
Be Grateful
Say thank you often. It doesn't have to be a great achievement for you to celebrate and be grateful. You can be grateful even on little and simple things. The fact that you're alive and well today is already worth thanking for. The roof under your head, the food your eating right now, the people around you who loves you unconditionally-- these little things also count, cause without them I don't know how our lives would be at this moment.
Be Kind
Send people around you good thoughts. In a place of Negative Nancys' show kindness and warmth. A simple Good morning can actually turn stuff around. When someone affects me negatively, I try to acknowledge it and understand it, but never welcome it because bad vibes are actually like anchors which weigh us down and drown us. The best way to fight back these bad vibes is to harness positivity and show kindness to the person because they definitely need it.
Be Happy
Smile. Laugh. Love. 💗 How? Seek the beauty in everything. Every morning when I wake up I try smiling in front of the mirror (Silly, I know!) or listen to some of my favorite tunes in order for me to get an extra boost to start the day. It is important to have a good mood cause your behavior, decisions, and reactions to situations depends on it. Remember, you are the captain of your ship.
